Via their YouTube channel, Nintendo has announced what to expect from them this year at E3- and it looks great.
Starting on Tuesday June 16 is the ‘Digital Event’ where you will get the news on upcoming games and much more directly from Nintendo. The ‘Treehouse Live’ event will run through the duration of E3 promising “in-depth game coverage, behind-the-scenes info, and plenty of fun.â€
Later in the week (June 17-20) will be access to Mario Maker where we’ll get to try out the new Wii U software before it’s released though, only at participating Best Buy stores.
Finally the North American Nintendo President, Reggie Fils-Aimé has announced that for the first time in 25 years, the ‘Nintendo World Championships’ will return to see Nintendo’s biggest fans go head-to-head for the first place prize. That’s right, Nintendo have announced the return of the ‘Nintendo World Championships’ which is set to take place in L.A. on Sunday June 14. To enter the qualifying competitions starting May 30, check out the Nintendo E3 page.
After announcing the next instalment in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Ubisoft also took the wrapping off of the special collectors edition of the upcoming hotly anticipated title.
The latest Assassin's Creed title is throwing in everything plus the kitchen sink to woo potential buyers this time around. Collector's Edition purchasers will be granted access to the Syndicate Season Pass, a 9 inch Jacob figurine, a poster of London, an art book, the official soundtrack, and an exclusive in game mission starring Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens.
Those who pre-order the standard and/or gold editions of the game will also recieve access to the aforementioned Darwin/Dickens mission and the aforementioned Gold Edition will also grant access to the Season Pass. To top it all off, Ubisoft has created a life size replica of Jacob's hidden blade and gauntlet and a life-size cane sword for purchase from the Ubisoft Online Store.
We will have more details as we get them on the latest in the Assassin's Creed series. Ubisoft sure has a lot to make up for after last years abysmal handling of Assassin's Creed Unity. Lets hope they learned their lesson this time around! Assassin's Creed Syndicate launches on Xbox One and Playstation 4 October 23rd, 2015 with a PC release to come later in the fall.
Along with announcing the latest entry in the Assassin's Creed series, Ubisoft revealed that Tom Clancy's The Division has been delayed until Spring of 2016.
It is never an easy decision to move a launch date... (this move) has always benefited the companyYves Guillemot, CEO of UbisoftÂ
While The Division is getting pushed back again, we can expect to see more of The Division at E3 next month in Los Angeles. Another long awaited Tom Clancy Game; Rainbow Six Siege is set to release on time at some point this fall. Guillemot also revealed that a new Ubisoft game will be revealed sometime this fall. It was not made clear wether this will be a new entry into an exsisting franchise or an entirely new IP however.
